We dream of a New Society where people live in harmony, where there is total freedom for the complete growth of the individual, where each person accepts the other as he/she is inspite of trails and difficulties in his/her day to day life, where people value peace, love, truth, justice and equality. Every one must live with dignity.

Aims and Objectives

YCS/YSM has always aimed to awaken and transform the student milieu at secondary level, with a commitment to form the students and transform the society.

• A great attention to Personality Development, Leadership Training
• Constant reflection on our mentality, values, attitudes and actions.
• A constant search in one’s own life for meaningful ways of expressing concern for others and option for justice and peace
• We understand ourselves as existing for the service of the student milieu. The movement has also always sought to overcome the dualism between faith and life and hence it emphasises a pedagogy (an educative methodology) based on transforming action, which always starts from a deep analysis and faith reflection on the reality. It is therefore primarily organised in small groups which use the “see-judge-act” method, with a priority of being led by the students themselves

Strength

The movement is present in the breath and length of the country with 5000 animators and Chaplains about 2,00,000 members and 1225 schools.
